The Chair Project

…elevating art for Sanctuary, Inc.

The Chair Project seeks artists and other creative minds to make a chair, funkafy a chair, or alter a chair that will be entered into a silent auction to raise money for Sanctuary, Inc. (Sanctuary provides safety, shelter and counseling…for individuals and dependent children who are fleeing domestic violence and sexual abuse.)

The silent auction and public viewing will take place on Friday, June 26th 5-7 PM

@ Hopkinsville Brewing Company

102 East 5th Street, downtown Hopkinsville 

Important guidelines for participating artist:

·         The chair must be an artsy, functional design that can be used to sit on or to hold something, such as a plant.

·         No beach, lawn, or plastic chairs allowed, except for wooden Adirondack

·         Entries with visible tape such as duct, shipping, etc. are not accepted.

·         A stool, a bench, can be considered a chair in this case.

·         Each entry must have clear elements of alterations done by the submitting artist. 

·         By entering, participants agree that submitting your work is donated to Sanctuary, Inc.  

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Sanctuary, Inc. 

All chairs submitted will qualify for monetary prizes! The money for these prizes will be raised from outside sponsors. Judging will be done by local judges.

$75 Honorable Mention

A generous gift basket for the entry receiving the highest bid.

All interested participants should send an email or simply click on the QR code to submit expressing their intent to participate by June 12, 2026.

Please deliver all chair entries to Hopkinsville Brewing Company on Saturday, June 26th between 1:30–3:00 PM. If needed, an alternative drop-off time can be available on Thursday, June 25th.
